Leah Carter Lafountain is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 11 years of experience in the mental health field. She is dedicated to providing thoughtful, individualized psychiatric care that balances clinical expertise with compassion and respect. Leah specializes in medication management for anxiety disorders (including OCD, PTSD, panic disorder, and generalized anxiety disorder), depression, ADHD, and bipolar disorder. Her approach integrates evidence-based medication management with brief supportive therapy and motivational interviewing to ensure each treatment plan reflects the unique needs, goals, and values of the individual. Leah is known for creating a collaborative and supportive care environment where clients feel heard, informed, and empowered throughout their treatment journey. My name is Paula. I am an office assistant for Leah Lafountain.  I have been working for over 25 years in supporting medical & dental offices, maintaining strict HIPAA compliance, managing electronic health records (EHR) systems, optimizing patient scheduling, data entry, patient verification, patient communication and office management. I received my CPC certification (Certified Professional Coder) in 2019.  I love being the first point of contact with patients providing exceptional customer service, ensuring they feel welcomed in our office and fostering a positive environment. I am very organized and love to be challenged. I am a wife, a mother of three, and a grandmother of three. In my free time I love to spend time with my family and friends, go on trips, and shop.
